The wrath of God further includes His vengeance upon those who break His law and offend His holiness. To those who rebel, God says, “I will also bring upon you a sword which will execute vengeance” (Lev. 26: 25). “Vengeance” (Hebrew naqam) indicates God’s intense anger against His enemies that inflicts punishment for the offense inflicted against Him. - Steven Lawson
