“Then the LORD heard the sound of your words, and He was angry and took an oath, saying, ‘Not one of these men, this evil generation, shall see the good land which I swore to give your fathers’” (Deut. 1: 34– 35). The word translated “angry” (Hebrew qatsaf) means “to provoke to wrath or anger, to put oneself in a rage.” This passage reveals the zealous anger of the holy God toward transgressors who are rebellious against Him. - Steven Lawson
