«With Christ in the School of Prayer» (1885) es uno de los clásicos más influyentes sobre la oración cristiana. Murray parte de la escena en que los discípulos piden a Jesús: «Señor, enséñanos a orar» (Lc 11:1), y desarrolla 31 lecciones tomadas de las propias enseñanzas de Cristo sobre la oración.
